Windshield Paint Protection Film (PPF)—often called Windshield Protection Film (WPF)—is a heavy-duty, transparent layer applied to the exterior of a windshield. Unlike standard window tint which goes on the inside, this film acts as a sacrificial barrier against physical road hazards. Key Benefits Impact Resistance: It is specifically engineered to absorb the energy from flying rocks, gravel, and road debris, preventing chips, "stars," and large cracks. Cost Savings: For modern vehicles equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) like lane-assist cameras and sensors, a windshield replacement can cost upwards of $1,500–$3,000 plus recalibration. PPF is a fraction of that cost.
